Within the UK it takes 2-3 days usually. Shipping times vary and are not guaranteed, sorry, they're just an indication to guide you especially as bad weather, seasonal overload (like Xmas and Black Friday) COVID and industrial action keeps changing things. I offer tracked/insured or courier services as shipping upgrades but these do cost extra. Shipping is Royal Mail 2nd class or standard UK Airmail without insurance and tracking unless stated otherwise in listings.

ALLERGIES:
My home is smoke-free and pet-free. Upcycled fabrics are rewashed in an ecologically friendly detergent, I use recycled or upcycled packaging wherever possible for eco-reasons and am trying to introduce more ethical, fairtrade and sustainable products. Jewellery is not hypoallergenic unless it says so- swaps to different fittings may be possible, please ask.

SILK PAINTED ITEMS
Silk painting has a large random element and so items cannot be 100% reproduced again- this does make them unique to you though! Custom hand painted and hand dyed silk items are wearable art and can have a long waiting time because I may need to develop the design or use special techniques at someone else's workspace- please read the most relevant listing carefully! It is worth the wait to have your own unique wearable art :-)

I make custom items for people; I do also have stock items as examples, and so I can show you my designs. Items listed here as "ready to ship" already exist as stock -otherwise the listing tells you they are made to order/customisable. (Made to order/custom both count as custom orders). Stock items I can dispatch within 1-3 days normally, items made to order will take more time, from 1 to 4 weeks so see the individual listings. I will let you know if I have a lot of orders what the timing is likely to be; so if your deadline is short please contact me first before ordering, to check I can deliver in time from the UK!

I try to make all my truly custom items unique in one way or another so that you know your item is special and no-one else will have the same; even the stock items will often vary in detail. I do not usually make wholesale amounts or large batches of identical items (say more than 5 or 10). If you want big batches of wholesale cheap items, try other people in Etsy Wholesale; if you want thousands, possibly Etsy really isn't for you and you should consider working direct with a factory. Etsy is about one-offs, small batches and hand-makes mainly! Like many Etsy people I usually have another job as well so please bear this in mind, as it may be some hours before I can reply to you (plus I may be in a very different timezone of course!).

Payment

I will accept Paypal funds; Etsy giftcards or you can pay via debit or credit cards at the Etsy checkout. I can't take any US postal orders, sorry (PLEASE NOTE- I DO accept orders from the US; what I mean is I cannot accept the prepaid paper things called Postal Orders issued by US Post Offices, as payment. They are too costly and awkward for small value orders, sorry).

Orders from stock will be dispatched very soon after the payment comes in; custom and made to order items vary, please check the listing details for processing times. These include time to make, any waiting time in my typical order queue and time for me to get to the post. I will also keep you informed if you order is going to take more than a couple of days to be made.

For large value custom /unusual orders I normally ask for half of the payment up front as a deposit once we agree the details, and half on completion. Unless you use a standard listing with custom options, it's a small price or urgent, when I will ask for all funds up front to save time and hassle. On custom orders this first payment is also a commitment from you to buy. Accepting a custom listing written just for you will be taken as your agreement to the item's details and my T&Cs; please CHECK everything carefully including your decisions in our Etsy conversations and my shop policies before you pay for it! If you are not sure, please wait before ordering and ask me anything you still need to know. If you change your mind AFTER ordering and paying the first half as a deposit for a custom item, I reserve the right to keep the whole deposit if I have already spent time and materials on your project. If the work has not been started I may be able to offer a refund minus any fees, but you need to tell me asap that things have changed. If on completion and after repeated contact attempts you do not pay the remainder for the item, I reserve the right to cancel the order in the system, and sell your finished item within Etsy. You may or may not receive a refund in this case depending on my costs and whether your item sells elsewhere. I will tell you & wait 30 days before doing this. Please also read the refunds & returns policies.

So- if you change your mind on a custom order or suddenly find you can't buy the item please contact me asap to reduce the impact on any refund which could be due to you! These things do happen -we all have sudden emergencies, make genuine mistakes or get cashflow issues- so these policies are designed to be as fair as possible to both of us: but they do require you to tell me asap, so I can stop making the item before it costs us both money and time :-)

Shipping

Shipping looking a bit expensive? I may be on a different continent to you and costs also vary in different countries! Also if you are buying multiple items the Etsy shipping costs don't work so well when they add up and the costs can mount up fast- but I will refund significant excess fees/ do you a bulk rate. Please get in touch to ask, as or before you buy, rather than giving up and/or getting cross and sending me angry messages. I'm here to help! ;-)

YOU the customer are responsible for paying any customs fees due on your item. Customs law varies a lot, is applied variably by officials (so I cannot anticipate this in my prices) and they will contact you rather than me for payment. I will give you on request any info I have but if you haven't picked tracked shipping I may not know anything about where your order is or if customs fees are due, so please remember this. I will always put an accurate customs form on the package where needed declaring the contents and value; I will not falsify documents to avoid customs fees.

I ship from the UK but as I do other jobs as well, I can't always get to the post every day; so if it is something urgent please contact me, to make sure I can get it to you on time! Prices for standard shipping in my shop are for standard UNTRACKED airmail unless you are in the UK, in which case they are 2nd class post. All are without tracking and insurance; you can pay for an upgrade to add these. UK post typically takes 2-3 working days, to Europe 3-7 working days and the US and elsewhere between 7 and 10 working days. These times can double when post is disrupted or very busy, especially the USA. International shipping is without tracking unless it says otherwise (valuable items over £50 will be tracked). Shipping costs are heavily driven by weight- so if you order 2 of something it costs nearly double to send it; sorry, there's not much I can do about this- but I do only charge for packaging shipping and associated fees, so there is no profiteering in these prices!

I can offer insured and tracked airmail (non courier so not faster) at extra cost to most places but prices depend on the destination so please ask me; or see listing upgrades for these and courier options. Basic tracking for many of my small parcels to the EU costs more (£7 approx) than the US which is further away (£6 approx)! This is due to a bizarre bit of VAT tax law, sorry. Other regions vary but are similar- please ask me for the correct fee.

Insured tracked and signed shipping upgrade is available for: European Union Zones:
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Latvia ,Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Spain and Sweden

Non European Union Zones:
Andorra, Azores, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Corsica, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Madeira, Monaco and Switzerland

Rest of the World
Australia , Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand and USA

Tracking is a good idea for expensive non-urgent orders.

I will ship to anywhere that PayPal/Etsy and airmail or a courier works; if you can't see your country contact me and I'll create the right shipping so you can order.

PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.com or its related sites and services. It aims to make sure I comply with the new EU GPDR data law on your rights and my responsibilities from May 25th 2018.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that I do not own or control, including Etsy or any third party services you access through Etsy. You can reference the Etsy Privacy Policy to learn more about its privacy practices.

To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorised Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order, for example), if you contact me directly.

Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It
I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
• as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
• if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
• as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services; and 2) Compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Unlike some sellers I don't store your details separately apart from this and I don't use your details to send marketing info, except anything Etsy sends you independently, such as when I do a shop update or list new item. You need to access your Etsy settings to change that, please.

Information Sharing and Disclosure
Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:
• Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
• Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
• Business transfers. If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law. But I currently have no intention of ever selling my business, as it relies in my skills.
• Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.

Data Retention
I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 4 years.

Please note I do not keep Etsy customer info outside of Etsy currently unless there is an issue which means I have to contact you directly via email; in which case it is only present within my webmail platform, as info within emails. I do not store any database of customers apart from that. I currently email via Yahoo- I do try to delete old emails but I cannot 100% guarantee all data is deleted- you should contact your own email provider to delete their records too. I will never use these email details to contact you with marketing information unless you have specifically asked me to come back to you about a product of mine; I hate being mailed adverts and so do most customers- I also mostly make special items you might buy once in a lifetime only. If you are an existing regular customer for other products such as pouches, again I will only store/create your contact details outside Etsy if necessary, and keep for 4 years.

Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU
I may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the EU, the US and other jurisdictions as a result of using Etsy and Yahoo. I also use Paypal sometimes when adjusting invoices with you. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. When I can identify any privacy framework agreement in action I will post it here in this policy. Etsy, Paypal and Yahoo's owning company Oath/Verizon have to be GPDR compliant and have their own policies. So far as I can establish, none of these companies has certified themselves under the Privacy Shield arrangement yet, which is designed to manage these transfers.

Your Rights
If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:
• Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
• Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request. If it's within Etsy I will have to get their help to do this.
• Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
• Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
